Staffing Success Magazine states that 60% of hiring managers are expecting an increase in hiring for the first half of 2015, but finding the qualified candidate can pose a challenge for many employers. For some companies the hiring process has lengthened and there has been a 3% increase in the number of candidates who are rejecting offers in the last year. Retaining the qualified candidates once they are found has also become a concern. Nearly 41% of survey respondents said that employees are voluntarily quitting their positions, compared to 34% 6 months ago. The expected hiring demands will include “middle-skills” level positions as well as demands for new leaders. Overall as the increase in hiring poses a challenge for employers, the increase in hiring will be optimal for the 2015 professional job seeker.
